  • The moments when the power of love sustains us in difficult times

There comes a moment in life when we stop for a moment and realize that we are not alone. We are surrounded by the love and support of our family, our siblings, our friends, and our acquaintances, whether they are near or far. Even those people we only meet in conversation are there. This text is for them, and for all those who are afraid, tired, or uncertain right now. The Fluctuation of Feelings and the Importance of Acceptance You are not alone. More people are holding you than you think. We often forget that our feelings are not constant, but come in waves. There are days when we are strong, and other days we are weak. Both are perfectly fine. You don't have to move on immediately, and you don't always have to feel good. Sometimes it's enough to allow yourself to rest, to be still, and to be present with those who are important to you. This pause is not a sign of weakness, but of self-respect. One should always put oneself first, even when the to-do list is long and overwhelming. A personal story of hardship and hope I am going through a difficult time right now. I have an illness, an upcoming surgery, and countless questions and uncertainties. There are moments when I am afraid, and other times I am hopeful. I can cry and laugh in the same hour. Sometimes I am angry, other times I am grateful. These feelings do not mean weakness, but that I do not run away from them. I live them because that is the only way I can move on. There are things that cannot be fixed. There is no medicine or quick fix. All that remains is acceptance and hope. Hope that they will do everything for me, that maybe what is still mine will remain. And even if I don't have all the answers, it's good to say: I'm afraid, but I trust. The power of love in everyday life In difficult times, what keeps us going is the presence of people. The knowledge that wherever they are in the world, they are there for us. This presence is not always physical, it can be a message, a phone call, or a sincere conversation. These connections give us the strength not to give up. It is important not to be afraid to share our feelings. Writing, honesty, and confession help us process difficulties. We don't have to explain or solve everything right away, just say what is inside us. This process will take us forward, slowly but surely, in the right direction. How can we support each other in difficult times? Listening : Sometimes the greatest help is to just listen to the other person, without judgment. Presence : You don't always have to give advice, just being there, whether in person or remotely, is enough. Honesty : Encourage each other to share their feelings, even when they are difficult. Small gestures : A kind message, a hug, or a walk together can mean a lot. Patience : Everyone has their own pace in healing and processing. The importance of taking care of ourselves Honesty heals quietly. Writing can hold you. We must not forget that our most important relationship is with ourselves. That is why it is important to give ourselves time to rest and recharge. Both body and soul need care, especially when we are struggling. Try to find activities that help you calm down and recharge, whether it's a walk in nature, reading a good book, or simple breathing exercises. The power of hope and trust Hope is not always easy, but it is essential. Being able to trust that things will turn out for the better gives us strength to face our daily lives. This trust is not always based on certainty, but on our faith and support. In difficult times, hope and love together can keep us from losing ourselves.

  • The power of tiny creatures – what budgies teach us about love and relationships

Life sometimes brings us unexpected companions, who, despite their small size, leave a deep impression on us. This story is about two budgies who came to me in May 2023, during a time when I was living alone, studying and working in Vienna. Little did I know then that I would choose not only pets, but companions, family members. These little birds showed me the power of love and connection. Two different personalities, one common path Their presence is joy itself. Lucky and Melody are two completely different characters. Lucky is the quieter, more combative “boss” who prefers to observe, but stands up for himself when necessary. Melody, on the other hand, is the chirping, playful clown who is always looking for attention and play. This duality creates balance in everyday life and teaches her that love can come in many forms. These little creatures are tiny and fragile, yet they have an incredible power. It's not their size, but their presence that really matters. When they are with me, the joy is simple and pure: they wake up with me, they lie down with me, they watch and they are present. This kind of presence gives me the security and warmth that banishes loneliness. How they changed my life When Lucky and Melody arrived, I was filled with fear and uncertainty. I was living alone in a strange city and missing connection. But they became not just companions, but family. I learned that caregiving is not just a job, but a mutual relationship that provides security for both parties. My family also loved them, and together we learned what responsibility and patience mean. These birds are not like dogs or cats, who are louder and more spectacular. With their subtle presence, their soft chirps and small movements, they taught me that love is sometimes silent, but deeper. The importance of small joys Small joys like Lucky and Melody's presence show us that happiness doesn't always come from big things. An animal, whether it's a bird, a bunny, or a dog, can help us heal and regain our zest for life. They don't know they're helping, they just exist, and that's sometimes the greatest strength. This relationship has taught me that love and attention can be expressed in small gestures. A soft chirp, a shared morning, a playful moment – all of these contribute to not feeling alone. The presence of budgies provides a kind of silent companionship that accepts and supports unconditionally. What we can learn from budgies about love and connection Patience : These birds don't open up immediately, but gradually let you in. This teaches you that building relationships takes time and attention. Attention : Their presence encourages us to pay attention to details, to the subtle signs that are expressions of love. Responsibility : Taking care of them is not only a duty, but also a joy that affects us and strengthens the relationship. Acceptance : Each bird is a unique individual and should be respected. This teaching is also important in human relationships. The adventures of world-traveling birds They are always watching. They are always with me. Lucky and Melody are now not only at home with me, but they accompany me everywhere. They have become true globetrotting birds who travel with me, bringing even more experiences and connections into my life. This shared adventure further deepens our bond and brings new joys to all of us. During my travels, I have learned that the adaptability and courage of small creatures is inspiring. They are not afraid of new situations, but rather curiously explore the world, and this attitude encourages me to be more open to life and people. How to start a similar relationship If someone is looking for a similar partner but is unsure, it is worth keeping a few things in mind: Know their needs : Every animal has its own needs that must be respected. Be patient : Building a relationship takes time and isn't always easy. Give them space : Little creatures also need their own space and peace. Pay attention to the signs : Body language and behavior reveal a lot about how they are feeling. Such a relationship brings not only joy but also responsibility, but the payoff is worth it many times over.

  • NF2 and life with it: how to live with Neurofibromatosis type 2?

When I first heard the diagnosis of NF2, I was not just given the name of a disease, but a completely new life situation began. In the first moments, uncertainty, fear and many questions dominated my thoughts. I did not understand exactly what this disease meant, I just felt that something had changed in my life. In this article, I will share what NF2 means, how it affects our lives, and what path we can take with it. What is NF2? NF2, or Neurofibromatosis type 2, is a rare genetic neurological disease. It is characterized by the development of benign tumors along the nerves, most commonly the auditory and balance nerves, in the brain or spinal cord. Although these tumors are not cancerous, they can cause serious symptoms due to their location. NF2 is not contagious and presents differently in everyone. This variability makes diagnosis and treatment difficult, as symptoms and the course of the disease can vary from person to person. Symptoms and recognition of NF2 One of the biggest challenges of NF2 is that it remains “invisible” for a long time. Symptoms often appear slowly and gradually, making it difficult to recognize the disease in time. The most common symptoms are: Hearing loss or deafness, in one or both ears Balance disorders, dizziness A headache that doesn't go away easily Vision problems, such as blurred vision or double vision Nerve pain or numbness Constant fatigue that cannot be explained by other reasons. These symptoms do not necessarily appear at the same time, and often the person affected cannot even articulate exactly what is wrong. This uncertainty often makes the situation even more frightening. How is NF2 diagnosed? When machines and medical tests search for answers. NF2 is usually diagnosed through medical tests and imaging tests, such as MRI. Doctors look for tumors that develop along the nerves, especially around the auditory nerve. Genetic testing can also help confirm the diagnosis, as NF2 can be often inherited. After diagnosis, regular medical check-ups are important to monitor tumor growth and changes in symptoms. The impact of NF2 on daily life NF2 is not only physically challenging, but also mentally and emotionally. The uncertainty of the disease, the variability of symptoms, and the treatments are often overwhelming. You have to learn to live with the situation, accept the changes, and re-plan your life. Examples of everyday challenges Communication difficulties : Hearing loss can make it harder to follow conversations, which can lead to isolation. Movement and balance : Balance disorders can make everyday activities like walking or climbing stairs more risky. Fatigue and pain : Constant fatigue and nerve pain can reduce energy levels and motivation. Coping strategies Find a support community : It is important that those affected are not left alone with their problems. Groups, forums or support organizations can help. Regular medical check-ups : Monitoring the growth of tumors and treating symptoms is essential. Lifestyle changes : A healthy diet, adequate rest, and stress management can improve quality of life. Using assistive devices : Hearing aids, balance aids, or other assistive devices can make everyday life easier. Treatment options for NF2 Treatment for NF2 is complex and requires a personalized approach. The goal is to slow tumor growth, relieve symptoms, and improve quality of life. Common treatment methods Surgery : In some cases, removal of tumors may be necessary, especially if they are putting pressure on nerves. Radiation therapy : It can be used to slow the growth of tumors, especially if surgery is risky. Drug treatment : Although there is no specific drug for NF2, various medications are used to relieve symptoms and relieve pain. Rehabilitation : Physical therapy and other rehabilitation methods can help improve balance and mobility. The role of emotional and mental support NF2 affects not only the body, but also the mind. After diagnosis, people often feel anxious, depressed or hopeless. It is important that those affected also receive mental support. Psychological counseling : Helps you process the diagnosis and changes. Stress management techniques : Relaxation, meditation, or breathing exercises can reduce tension. Support from family and friends : Understanding and supporting your environment can give you strength during difficult moments. How can we live a full life with NF2? Having NF2 does not mean that life stops. Although the disease brings serious challenges, many people are able to find ways to live full and meaningful lives. I don’t know what comes next – but I leave the window open. Tips for everyday life Know your body and your symptoms : Pay attention to how your signs change and when to see a doctor. Be open to help : Don't be afraid to ask for support from family, friends, or professionals. Set realistic goals : Take small steps and celebrate your successes. Find joy in everyday life : Hobbies, relationships, and experiences help maintain mental balance. NF2 is a difficult journey, but you don't have to walk it alone. Understanding, support and perseverance are key to finding your place in the world despite the disease.

  • Letting go and moving on: How to find positive direction in uncertain times

I don’t know what’s coming – but I leave the window open. The beginning of the year brings new hopes for many of us, but also fears and uncertainty. As we approach the end of January, I am surprisingly feeling more and more positive, even though the situation around me still raises many questions. Creating a website and blogging is a way for me to hold on during this time when the future is uncertain and changes are inevitable. This post is about finding the inner strength to let go and move forward, even when fear is present in the background. The power of letting go Letting go is not an easy process, especially when it comes to things we are emotionally attached to. For me, one of the hardest steps was letting go of my career in hospitality. This decision was not made overnight, but rather the result of a lot of thought and introspection. Living with the disease has placed new limits on me, and I have had to realize that I would not be able to really advance in this profession. This was a painful realization, because I miss hospitality. At the same time, I have understood that letting go does not mean giving up on our dreams, but recognizing when to look for new paths. This realization can become liberating over time, because it opens up space for new possibilities. Managing fear in uncertain times Not every answer comes immediately. Not all answers come immediately. The start of 2026 is also about fear for me. I am afraid of the upcoming surgery and not knowing what the future holds. This uncertainty is often overwhelming, yet I try to remind myself that I don't have to carry this burden alone. The support of my family gives me immense strength, and blogging allows me to share my experiences with others. It is important to recognize that fear is a natural reaction. The goal is not to eliminate it, but to stop it from paralyzing us. Learning to live with it can help us be more aware of changes and look for possible solutions. How does blogging and website creation help? Blogging is not just a form of self-expression for me, but also a form of therapy. When I write down my thoughts and feelings, I can face difficulties more easily. And creating a website is tangible proof that I am able to create and move forward, even when I am unsure inside. This process also helps me to focus on more than just my own situation. The blog gives me the opportunity to support others and share experiences that may empower them as well. Accepting uncertainty and starting positively The morning after New Year's Eve, when I felt like I wasn't ready for the new year, has remained deeply etched in my mind. The uncertainty hasn't completely gone away since then, but I've learned that you don't have to solve everything right away. What 2026 has taught me so far is that I can start positively, even when I don't know exactly what awaits me. This attitude helps me not to get stuck in fear, but to move forward step by step. A positive start does not mean that everything is perfect, but that I am open to change and development. Who would you tell what you are carrying alone right now? One of the most important messages I want to convey is that you don't have to carry your difficulties alone. Often the biggest burden is not sharing your fears and concerns with others. The support of a friend, family member, or even a professional can go a long way in helping you get through difficult times. If you have something you're holding back right now, think about who you could tell. A conversation can ease your mind and open up new perspectives. Practical steps to move forward Accept the current situation : Don't fight the changes, but acknowledge that other paths are now opening up for you. Find a supportive community : Whether it's family, friends, or online groups, support gives you strength. Set small goals : Don't try to solve everything at once, take steps forward. Use creativity and communication : Writing, drawing, or any creative activity can help you process feelings. Ask for help when needed : It is not weakness, but courage to recognize when to ask for support. Surgery and hope The possibility of surgery arose in October, one day after the MRI scan. The biggest fear is not the February procedure itself, but the uncertainty of what will happen after it. However, the good news is that we live in the 21st century, and new methods and drugs are being developed every year. My hearing is affected, but there are now tools that can help in this area. This awareness gives me hope and the strength to not give up, but to continue trying to look towards the future with confidence.

  • A diagnosis that changed everything

If you are reading this, you probably found yourself here for a reason. Maybe you are living with a rare disease yourself, or you have just been diagnosed. Maybe you are a relative who is trying to stay strong while still having questions inside. This blog is for you. My story is about living with NF2. How my life changed overnight, how I learned to hold on again, and how I find hope even in the most difficult moments. It's not an easy path, but I'm sharing it with you so you don't feel alone. The first signs and the moment of diagnosis I was a healthy young woman who found herself - and her passion - in hospitality. I worked in several well-known hotels in Austria, then moved to Budapest in 2024 and ended up in one of the most well-known five-star hotels. I had bosses who helped me believe that there was more in me than I thought. However, in February 2025, my left hearing almost completely disappeared overnight. A constant whistling and buzzing appeared, which immediately changed my everyday life... A long, uncertain journey followed. I went from doctor to doctor, searching for answers. In October, the MRI finally revealed the two large tumors in my inner ear. That was when I first heard the name NF2, but I didn't really understand what it meant for my life. The difficult words that changed everything After a short time, a doctor looked at me and said only this: What broke is still holding. Thoughts on a life that didn’t become easier — just new. “Little lady, learn the lip-reading.” This sentence was not an explanation. It was not a help. It was a sentence that closed a future. There, on that trip home, I understood that NF2 can also mean hearing loss, and over time, it can even lead to complete deafness. This thought almost broke me. I didn't want to give up my life because I wanted to die, but because I didn't see how I could continue living like this. How I experienced the diagnosis and the changes NF2 is not just a medical term for me. It is a lifestyle change, a new challenge that I have to learn to manage. In addition to hearing loss, the constant uncertainty, treatments, waiting, and emotional burden have also become part of my everyday life. The most important thing was to find my own strength – and hope. It’s not always easy, but it’s part of the fight. I couldn’t have moved forward without the support of my family and friends. Why was this blog born? It is hard to find personal stories about NF2. This blog was created to give a hand to those who are in a similar situation. For me, it is also a diary that helps me survive, remember and move on. If all you take with you from this is that you are not alone, it will be worth for me to go on writing. Tips and advice for people living with NF2 and their families Seek support – and don't be ashamed if you need it. Living with NF2 is not a burden you should carry alone. There may be few people around you who understand exactly what you are going through, but there are people – peers, communities, professionals – who do. A conversation, a message, or even just reading a story can be a source of support. Support is not a sign of weakness, it is proof that you take yourself seriously. Learn to adapt, at your own pace. Hearing loss, uncertainty, and change are often scary. It's important to know that you don't have to solve everything right away. There are technical tools, methods, and new forms of communication – but it's okay if it takes time to accept them. Adapting is not giving up, but learning a new kind of strength. Pay attention to your health – both in body and soul. NF2 is not just about medical tests and treatments. Your mental balance is just as important. There will be days when you feel strong and days when you feel tired. Both are okay. Regular check-ups, adequate rest, and genuine self-care will keep you going in the long run. Give yourself time. Dealing with a diagnosis doesn’t happen overnight. Grief, anger, fear, and then acceptance often follow one another. It’s not a linear process. You don’t have to “be okay” just because others expect you to be. Your feelings are valid, and you move at your own pace. Share your story – when you are ready. Spoken words have healing power. It can be written, spoken, or even a quiet sharing with someone who is listening. Your story matters. Not only does it help you organize your feelings, it can also give others hope: that it is possible to continue living, feeling, and loving – even when you are sick. New directions in life and hope NF2 does not mean that life ends. On the contrary, new paths open up that perhaps were not visible before. You may have to live differently, but the goal remains the same: to find happiness and purpose in life. My story is not over yet. Every day is a new opportunity to be stronger, to learn, and to hope.

2025 februárban azonban egyik napról a másikra szinte teljesen elment a bal hallásom. Ugyanilyen fontos a lelki egyensúlyod is. A kimondott szavak gyógyító erejűek. A történeted számít.
